Literature Text

There once was a girl named Maggie
Who had a big ole family.

She had a overemotional mom and a dad who didn't care
Two sisters who were stubborn and weren't very fair.

And that's when 4 weights appeared close to her heart.

Over the years when she grew
She started to see the world in another view.

Her family started to show their true colors
And eventually the weights evened in numbers.

Maggie tried with all of her might to get the weights off.

And with every weight that brought her down
She would throw away her frown

Maggie loved these days when nothing could get in her way
And she would write down so many things to say.

But with every smile she gave, another weight appeared

By this time, Maggie was older and they started to feel heavy
It overwhelmed her and her legs and wrists got messy

The weights dragged her down until she was on the floor
And pretty soon, life felt like a chore.

Sometimes a friend would come around and help her carry the weight

But that only left room for more weights
And over time, she really didn't feel great.

By the time Maggie turned 16 she felt cornered
And life felt like torture.

By now she could only whisper
She wanted to know if they loved their daughter and sister.

Maggie knows that they love her but she didn't really feel it.

But by now she is totally done
And something important started to begun.

The weights didn't feel heavy anymore and she didn't feel so down
No longer was she going to be pushed around.

Maggie realized she needed to worry about her.

She still loves her family deeply
But she was tired of silently weeping.

So she told them how she really felt
And she put her dreams above anything else.

One by one the weights started to fall off

All but 4, that would always be close to her heart.
I hope you guys like this because this is a really personal story of mine and I felt nervous showing this off to the world.
